Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Every day is a fresh new day to start over or to wipe the slate clean.
We have the opportunity each day to choose which road we will go down. Even if we have been walking down a particular road for a long time or maybe our whole lives, we still have the option to change our direction any day that we so desire. It is up to each of us to make this choice. We can not blame this choice on anyone else but our own selves. This is one thing that no one can take away from you, that is your destiny.
Your can choose it or others will choose it for you.
So many people are dealing with this today, going down a road that they do not desire to go down but do not know how to change their direction. Even when they know where the road leads but still keep walking anyways.I have been down this road before and still do fail sometimes to choose the road that I know is best. As a matter of fact we all do because no one is perfect. I have learned that no matter how bad we mess up, we can all get up everyday and choose which road we will go down today regardless of what happened yesterday.
The key is getting in the habit of choosing the right road or choosing the road that you want to take rather than the road that pulls you in.
Many people grow up and get sucked into a way of doing things or they are maybe taught ways that are wrong. The good news, it is never too late to change your direction!
I am not going to tell you that changing the direction of our lives is easy as 1, 2, 3. But I will tell you that it is possible and it can happen for you, if you choose. But you may say, when?
The answer is whenever you decide that you have had enough or what ever day you choose.
To conclude, I want to leave you with a few thoughts that is helpful to me and I hope will be helpful to you as you move forward in your life and choose daily what your destiny will be. I could write a chapter on each of these thoughts but I am not in this blog. I just want to leave you with some things to think about as you make the decision to begin taking the road that God has planned for you.
- There will be much sacrifice, but there is a great reward.
- Get support, don’t do it alone.
- You may have to drop some old friends and get new ones.
- Being intentional is a must.
- Gaining a new perspective means you can’t think like you use to.
- Don’t focus on what is going wrong, focus on what is going right
- If you have a bad day, forget about it and start fresh tomorrow.
- The easy road isn’t always the right road.
- Focus on who you want to be not who you have been
- Have faith and believe in yourself.
Lastly, think and meditate on this verse.
Joshua 24:15, But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”
Now I encourage you to CHOOSE to serve the Lord from this day forward!
God bless and have an awesome day!
