Hidden from Self

From whom are we to hide our light? From ourselves!

If we want to know our own goodness, it then ceases to be goodness

If we say that we are humble it has then ceased to be humilty

If we try to be extraordinary, then we immediately lose what it takes to be extraordinary

If we count our deeds and services to others, then it ceases to count at all

If see ourselves as wise, then we cease to be wise at all

If we see ourselves as noble, we lose our nobility

If we want to know our own love, it has ceased to be love

Being unaware of ourselves and focused on Christ

When we are unaware of our goodness, then we are genuinely doing good

When we are unaware that we are humble, then we are genuinely being humble

When we are unaware that we are being extraordinary, then are being extraordinary

When we are unaware that we are performing deeds and serving others, then we are genuinely serving others.

When we are unaware that we are wise, then we are being wise

When we are unaware that we are noble, then we have nobility

When we are loving our enemies, they ceased to be enemies at all.

“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.“So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.Matthew 6:1-4

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ that lives within me. Galatians 2:20

For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.Colossians 3:3

Have a blessed day!
